Chief Marketing Officer Jobs

A chief marketing officer is a top position in the marketing department of an organization. A chief marketing officer is responsible for formulating marketing strategies; campaign development; creating, maintaining, and promoting brands; building and managing the marketing team; working with the sales team to achieve customer acquisition and revenue goals; defining a company's product mix, pricing, and positioning; and overseeing all marketing efforts including SEO and email marketing. A chief marketing officer may also be required to identify and target new geographic regions, product segments, and potential partner organizations for the purpose of expanding existing marketing plans.
A chief marketing officer should have a bachelor's degree, though an MBA or a marketing degree will always be an advantage. Experience of 10+ years in a managerial marketing role is generally required for such positions. A chief marketing officer is required to have extensive direct marketing and web marketing experience including developing strategy and developing appropriate metrics. Knowledge of and experience with all aspects of consumer marketing, research, public relations, and business development is important.
