Chief Technology Officer Jobs
A chief technology officer is responsible for leading and coordinating all activities in the technology group of an organization. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring significant systems with business critical aspects; providing technology support and maintaining best in class data center operations practices as may relate to Sarbanes Oxley and SAS 70 requirements; forecasting of system requirements, system performance, and future bottle-necks; oversee management of all hardware, software, databases licenses, and capital expenditures; and providing forensic trouble shooting and resolution guide to minimize system downtime.
A chief technology officer should have an advanced degree in computer science or an equivalent study with a technical background and at least 8 years of experience in managing large teams. Knowledge and a proven track record of managing large database, enterprise applications, and transaction operations is essential. Extensive communication and project management skills are important for such roles. A chief technology officer should be able to interact with clients on technical issues and come to resolutions.
