Executive Director Jobs
An executive director is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing programs & employees while working under the direct supervision of the board of directors. An executive director provides the leadership and vision necessary to ensure that an organization has proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. An executive director monitors actual expenses vs. budgets as appropriate through analysis of accounting reports, and establishes and evaluates periodic progress reviews to assure results are monitored and corrective action applied to maintain acceptable results.
An executive director should have a bachelor's degree or preferably a master's degree. Strong project management skills along with a proven record of results and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. At least 10 years experience in a progressively responsible managerial role is required for such positions.
