The Global Consumer Marketing (GCM) organization is the marketing leadership function for Citi’s Global Consumer Bank. GCM develops and executes the global brand strategy for Citi’s consumer businesses and partners with Lines of Business and Regional/Local Markets to define and execute integrated marketing strategies that will move our marketing from sell to buy. VP, Advertising Manager – As a critical member of the GCB Brand Management & Insights team, this role will lead the development and execution of highly effective integrated campaigns for key Consumer Bank initiatives and products, including the Citi/AAdvantage Co-Brand portfolio of cards.
The position will oversee the following critical tasks:
Develop integrated advertising campaigns from inception to execution, including day-to-day management of advertising agency relationships and operations
Oversee concept development and production processes across all media, including digital and social
Develop clear, insight-driven creative briefs and lead internal and/or agency briefings
Drive successful integration of campaigns across marketing channels, partnering with internal and external partners to deliver on-strategy messaging and cohesive direction
Manage legal and product review process for all advertising creative or marketing deliverables, driving consensus and approvals with all stakeholders
Effectively partner with internal clients/business teams to manage expectations, recommend solutions, offer thought leadership, and consistently demonstrate value
Maintain Citi’s brand strategy and identity standards across all touchpoints
Partner with research team to understand and apply consumer-led insights for strategy and campaign development
Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitive marketing and trends for your products/services to ensure campaign differentiation and to act on implications
Measure campaign performance, using data, insights and in-market results to drive optimizations and achieve campaign goals','!*!
6-10 years of brand and advertising experience, some experience with financial services brands preferred
Must have hands-on experience in developing advertising/marketing campaigns, including authoring briefs, managing the creative and production process, and optimizing against campaign KPIs
Requires general knowledge of marketing principles such as brand or product positioning, creative research, sponsorship activation, and media measurement
Proven experience in budget & resource management for campaigns
Intimate understanding of digital and social media best practices
Passionate about the brand and advertising industry, and highly motivated by new media developments and trends
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Outstanding collaboration skills. Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a wide range of partners, peers and agencies
Proven track record in successfully influencing at all levels of management and navigating complex and highly-matrixed organizations
Strong interpersonal skills and is adaptable to work effectively with varying personal styles.
