Description
The Director, Provider Engagement develops and grows positive, long-term relationships with physicians, providers and healthcare systems in order to support and improve financial and quality performance within the contracted working relationship with the health plan. The Director, Provider Engagement requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.
Responsibilities
The Director, Provider Engagement represents the scope of health plan/provider relationship across such areas as financial performance, incentive programs, quality and clinical management, population health, data sharing, connectivity, documentation and coding, HEDIS and STARs performance, operational improvements and other areas as they relate to provider performance, member experience, market growth, provider experience and operational excellence. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategy.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree
8 or more years Provider Contracting
5 or more years of management experience
Strong relationship building skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Ability to travel as needed
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications
Prior work experience in the health solutions industry with demonstrated success directing and leading teams
Proficiency in quality improvement processes, analyzing and interpreting financial trends

The compensation range represents a good-faith estimate of annualized starting pay at the time of posting based on a full-time 40-hour workweek and may vary based on geographic location and/or employment type. Individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills such as education, experience, certifications, etc.
