Description

The Director, Strategy Advancement provides data-based strategic direction identifying and delivering new avenues of growth is a critical company priority, championed by the SVP of Retail Strategy & Product. Responsibilities

The Director, Retail Strategy & Product Advancement - Duals Segment, leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues that drive and influence the Dually Eligible Population (consumers who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid), by leveraging data from internal and external sources as well as their previous experience and insights working within a Managed Care Plan. An operationally focused leader, you will be driving a regular cadence of analytics and performance management specifically across the National Duals P&L, highly focused on key business drivers and related operating levers. You will make informed recommendations through a collaborative approach to Adaptive Leadership, thinking analytically and experimentally to enable discovery and action, through a commitment to embracing Best Practice to get to Next Practice.

The successful candidate brings field and health plan perspectives and expertise, strong analytical abilities and a high level of curiosity to all engagements. Your prior successes highlight leadership strengths where you leverage subject matter experts, build cross-functional, collaborative, long-term relationships, while maintaining the ability to hold others accountable for alignment and deliverables. In this role, you will support multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce strategic recommendations that influence and support national strategy, based on company and external financial and data analysis. You will also ensure that policies, processes and procedures align with corporate vision, as well as compliance and regulatory expectations at both a national and at a State level. You will design, implement and track strategic plans; driving OKRs, goals and objectives while improving performance. You will be responsible for decisions related to the ideation, research, creation and implementation of new/updated programs and large-scale projects.

This role will interact with, influence and impact a broad spectrum of cross-functional partners, providing a true enterprise view opportunity. You will have frequent interfaces and exposure with Senior Divisional and Market leadership, headquarters finance and other national functional leadership staff (e.g., service, clinical, MarketPoint, Bold Goal / SDOH, STARS/quality, etc) to coordinate strategies to improve P&L performance, connected to initiatives focused on national/enterprise operating model change for the Dually eligible segment.

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
8 or more years of technical experience
5 or more years of management experience
2 or more years of P&L ownership or oversight
Project Management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at multiple levels
Ability to synthesize information from a variety of resources to present, support or address an issue, from multiple stakeholder views
Ability to apply the principles of independent logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make strategic recommendations
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
Experience in the health care industry


Preferred Qualifications


Master's Degree
Experience with Medicare Dual Eligibles or Medicaid Managed Care
Medicare financial acumen; local health plan, regional or national perspective
