Description
The Director, Technology Solutions devises an effective strategy for executing and delivering on IT business initiatives. The Director, Technology Solutions requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.
Responsibilities
The Director, Technology Solutions acts as a liaison and collaborates with the business and functional stakeholders to identify and deliver strategic enablement solutions. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategy.
We're looking for someone to lead the delivery of our futuristic Member Administration and Enrollment platform for all of our Insurance products including Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Group. To enable our customer-centric aspirations, we must deliver key features that improve transparency, increase speed of processing, and simplify our system interactions across the enrollment and member administration functions.
The Director - Member Administration & Enrollment Platform works with partners across the organization to deliver the futuristic Member Administration and Enrollment platform that supports our mission of improving the health of the populations we serve. The Director leads a sizable delivery organization that operates with the SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework) model.
The Director provides strategic advice and guidance to the delivery teams, business partners and other relevant stakeholders. The position is highly skilled with broad, technical, strategic and change experience. Works with senior executives to develop the roadmap and delivery strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and responsible for the delivery of the futuristic Member Administration and Enrollment Platform.
Responsibilities include:
Leads a sizable delivery team with Associate Director level direct reports
Works with peers from other segments on development and execution of Enterprise IT Standards and frameworks.
Sets technology strategy to deliver on corporate objectives and expected outcomes.
Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Make decisions around delivery approach, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Influences enterprise strategy.
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues.
Develops and maintains delivery roadmap in partnership with Business leaders to deliver desired outcomes.
Creates a team culture of inclusion, support, and curiosity that demonstrates the Humana values.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related IT field
10 or more years of progressive information technology experience directly related to architecture/engineering, or other specialized technology field
5-7 years of project/people leadership
2-5 years of experience with Cloud Computing & certifications in Cloud Technologies
2-5 years of experience with platform implementation and transformation
2-5 years of experience in agile development and work practices (SAFE)
2-5 years of experience in devops and automation
Experience in leading through organizational change
Experience in Management of large enterprise implementations
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare technology (Insurance) experience
Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (IT, MBA, etc.)
