Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer for Safety and Productivity Solutions is responsible for leading the Innovation, Partnership and Technology Roadmaps for SPS. S/he will operationalize and structure MOS across global footprint to drive innovation and technology initiatives.

We are looking for a leader who can drive results and has excellent collaboration and influencing skills to work within Honeywell’s matrixed organization. S/he should be effective at working across business units, functions and at various levels and in a global environment. S/he should thrive in an intense, results oriented environment.

The successful candidate will possess strong bias for action, high energy level, and ability to build interpersonal relationship across Honeywell. This candidate will lead by example, maintain a positive attitude and big picture perspective, and drive personal accountability. This leader will build trust and operate with high integrity, display personal courage and commitment, and empower others.

The Priorities of the “Technology Partnership & Innovation Director include:

•Operationalize MOS & track Say/Do “Technology Roadmaps”

•Drive Technology Strategy [Technology Trends, Competition Analysis and Insights]

•Establish MOS w/ Ventures, Operationalize MOS to track Say/Do

•Lead deployment of innovation process, Understand GBE (Gold Business Enterprise) strategy, priorities and drive success metrics – Idea to NPI Conversion & Commercial Success

•Spearhead some of the key strategic priorities:

University relations – CMU / NREC, MIT Media Lab and Top 1 from emerging market countries (India, China, Mexico and EE)

Structured MOS w/ Top Technology Firms (Google, Qualcomm and Cloud Providers (AWS, MS and VM)

Drive Hackathon events – “Idea” to “customer deployment” Focus

•Drive Interns Initiative with Top 3 Universities [CMU – AI; MIT Media Lab – Materials / AI / Sensors; North Carolina]

25 Requirements & Architecture Definition

25 Customer interaction

25 Key project reviews


Bachelors Degree

10 years’ experience in technology / product engineering role

5 years leadership experience

Experience working in global environment (especially High Growth Regions)

A leader with the ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment

Demonstrated capability to effectively manage and influence in a matrixed global and cross-functional business structure

Strong bias for action and results driven – ability to implement process rigor through organization

Proven experience building trust and operating with high integrity, displaying personal courage and commitment, building relationships, and empowering others

Effective at leading by example, maintaining a positive attitude and big picture perspective, driving personal accountability, and motivating others

Ability to effectively manage complex problems

Strong communication skills (written & oral) – ability to quickly adapt to differing leadership styles


Advanced degree – Master’s or PhD is preferred

Experience in Program Management or Operations

Experience in managing external partnerships

Experience with M&A, Joint Ventures etc.

Proven experience and success in development of long range technology development plans.

Ability to lead by example, maintain positive attitude, big picture perspective, personal accountability.

Flexibility and Open Leadership style - Approachable, listen aggressively, relate well to employees and customers alike, and adaptable to changing requirements and priorities.

Communicate purpose and meaning - Able to energize people around the organization vision, create win-win solutions for personal development.
