Due to our continued success, we are adding a seasoned corporate communications leader to our growing business. This leader will build and execute a best-in-class corporate communications strategy across our e-commerce portfolio comprised of Rue La La, Gilt, Gilt City, and Shop Premium Outlets. You will set and execute the media strategy for all business communications and raise awareness of Rue Gilt Groupe through storytelling for business, consumer, and internal audiences. This person will work in a hybrid work situation (3 days in office) from either our Boston or New York office starting in September. We are currently 100% remote. All interviews will be conducted via phone and video conference through September.
What You’ll Do
Craft and implement a corporate communications program that enhances corporate visibility and leverages RGG’s market position to the business community
Develop media strategies for company announcements, partner brand launches, industry trends, thought-leadership platforms, and top-tier press coverage across business, broadcast, and lifestyle media
Partner with cross-functional leaders to develop clear and concise functional business narratives
Lead internal communications
Serve as communications counsel to the senior leadership team on specific external communications activities including, but not limited to: media interviews, conference speaking and thought leadership opportunities, and communications materials development.
Work closely with senior management to draft speeches and bullet points as needed for presentations, interviews and speaking engagements.
Provide rapid response/crisis management guidance and communication when required
Measure and evaluate success against communications goals, and oversee quarterly metrics reports and dashboards.
About You
You are excited by the opportunity to build a Corporate Communications function from the ground up for a thriving e commerce company
10 years’ experience in corporate communications, preferably in-house in a consumer environment
Media relations: deep relationships with corporate and trade press in the retail and tech industry is a must.
Solution-oriented approach and a strong track record of influence with key external stakeholders and senior leadership across an organization.
Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as manage external partners and vendors
Outstanding storytelling skills.
Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
Bachelor’s degree. Strong educational background in communications, business management and marketing.
