Description

The Director, Strategy and Business Development provides data-driven strategic direction to identify and advance business priorities and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for the Clinical Solutions business segment and potentially the company at large. The Strategy Advancement Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and typically substantial complexity.

Responsibilities

The Director, Strategy and Business Development supports development of Clinical Solutions segment strategy, bring priorities together, and acts as a liaison to segment partners. The role would be asked to analyze/synthesize complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources, implement strategic plans, drive goals and objectives, and improve performance. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects focused on improving health outcomes and supporting technical/operational processes. This person will work autonomously and exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks.

In this role you will:

engage in an ambiguous problem solving and strategy setting

use data, analytics, and insight from experts to identify the greatest opportunities in clinical outcomes, quality, cost, and experience across clinical solutions

lead cross-functional teams to define discrete opportunities that are both impactful and achievable

work directly with cross-functional partners across the enterprise to create the execution model and roadmap to capture prioritized opportunities

The successful associate:

brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis

ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision

selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function

Role Essentials

Bachelor's degree

5 or more years of consulting, strategy development, commercial and/or strategic planning or business strategy experience

Healthcare experience

2 years of direct supervisory leadership experience

Strong critical thinking skills

Strong analytical experience: being able to synthesize data; develop a methodology to help bring strategies together and present on those strategies

Microsoft Excel modeling & PowerPoint presentation skills

Translating ambiguity into structured framework and/or processes for analysis

Experience leading cross-functional group of leaders/teams

Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with ability to flex to different audiences

Ability to conduct, interpret, and leverage data and analytics to improve strategy and make recommendations

Preferred location - Louisville, KY or Washington, DC, but other locations will be considered
