What will I be doing?
Hilton’s Experience Design team works to create an extraordinary journey through every part of a guest’s experience — from the time our guests dream of travel, until their stay is complete, and beyond. We believe that design happens in many functions across our organization, and we deliver better experiences to our guests when we’re working together to build, test, and learn; focusing on user outcomes in both digital and non-digital spaces.
As a Director on the User Experience and Design team, you will lead teams focused on visual and interaction design that work on a variety of digital products including websites, applications and enterprise software. You will be a strong voice for design quality and consistency across our digital platforms. You will work closely with our creative operations teams to support in-depth business reviews, communicate and present across all levels of the organization, as well be responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing talent focused on building intuitive products.

Establish, execute and maintain the design vision and strategy for Hilton’s Digital Channels.
Ensure the designers assigned to projects are the best fit based on project requirements and the abilities of the designer.
Develop design elements including screen layouts, images, icons, animations, etc. to provide a usable and compelling user experience.
Design and produce graphical elements optimized for speed and compatibility.
Serve as subject–matter–expert regarding digital design.
Ensure photography and other design products used on our digital channels are appropriate and high quality.
Ensure time is managed accurately and promptly.
Communicate with clients and partners.
Lead design reviews.
Stay engaged with emerging technologies and identifying explore opportunities to incorporate current thinking into product designs advocating for usability, design, and innovation within the organization.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
Ten (10) years of experience in digital design, user experience (UX), interaction design or similar role
Three (3) years of leadership experience
Experience managing design
Travel as required
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
MA/MS Master's Degree
Twelve (12) years’ experience in digital design, UX, interaction design or similar role
Five (5) or more years leadership experience
