Chief Investment Officer Jobs description
A chief investment officer is responsible for a company's investment tactics and strategy. Duties include leading and supervising a company's investment team that may include analysts, traders, brokers, research team, and portfolio managers. A chief investment officer may take decisions for special deals, and ensure that the risks arising from such deals are within the policy framework of the company. A chief investment officer position is usually found in the banking, financial services, broking, or insurance companies. A chief investment officer typically reports to the executive vice president or CEO.A chief investment officer generally requires to be an MBA, have a related qualification or degree finance, public policy, economics, etc. Experience in the management of external money managers, risk management systems, and analytical tools is mostly required. Minimum of 5 years experience in corporate finance, banking, private equity investing and/or community development finance is an advantage for such positions.
