The Division of College Advancement at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Director of Gift Planning
. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of College Advancement, this senior level fund raising professional will solicit lifetime and estate planning gifts. Additionally, this position is responsible for a comprehensive estate planning and communications program.
The Division of College Advancement includes the offices of Development & Fundraising and Alumni Engagement. The primary goals of the Division are to increase the level of private support for the College, strengthen alumni traditions and networks, and build long-term relationships that advance the reputation and visibility of the College. Duties include but not limited to:
Manage a portfolio of planned and major gift donors; Serve as a resource about estate planning for all gift officers in the Division; Travel regionally and nationally for in-person meetings and events; Collaborate with and support leadership volunteers, the President of the College, the Vice President for College Advancement, and other colleagues to obtain significant gifts and planned gift commitments; Administer and promote charitable gift annuity program; direct strategy and implement a comprehensive communications plan for gifts through estate planning.
Base Salary:

Requirements:
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of five years of experience in fundraising, estate planning, financial services, higher education or other non-profit, or related field
Excellent presentation and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively as member of a team
Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
A valid driver's license
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise raising planned and major gifts
Skill using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/NXT or similar data base program
Experience using Planned Giving Manager software
Experience working with and serving diverse populations
